Tamworth & Lichfield R.N.L.I. Branch had lots to celebrate in 2024! Not least the achievement of raising £8,100 in this special 200th Anniversary Year! It's good to look back at all the special events organised this year - the May concert with local choir, Beatus; the Scroll signing ceremony at the NMA, a street collection in Lichfield commemorating the first ever such event 130 years ago; the naming of a Peter Beale rose “RNLI 200th With Courage” in the RNLI's honour. What lovely memories to have. None of it would have been possible without our lovely, ever willing volunteers, and the generosity of the residents of Tamworth, Lichfield and surrounding areas to whom we extend heartfelt thanks for their unstinting support.

Despite membership of around 80, volunteers are relatively few in number and we still struggle to cover some events. It would be so lovely to match this year’s fundraising high with the same, or better, in 2025. We only ask for an hour, or two, of your time and you will always have the support of a long term member by your side. You can help with supermarket collections; man our stall at various local events; train to give talks or become a Water Safety Advisor. Membership of our branch is only £7.00 a year. A New Year resolution that saves lives, how different is that?! Email: tamworth.rnli@btinternet.com
