Borneo Bound!

Hi, we are Tom, Niamh and Lily! In the summer of 2027, we will be going on an expedition to Borneo for 4 weeks. Whilst we are in Borneo, we will be going to 4 different camps to do many different fantastic opportunities such as helping out local communities, visiting orangutan and sun-bear sanctuaries, building facilities and a scuba diving course. Our main reason as to why we want to go to Borneo is for wildlife conservation. Many wild orangutans have been mistreated and are slowly dying out. We want to help prevent and target this issue directly by going to Borneo and helping out in these sanctuaries. One thing we have done

to raise money for our expedition and raise awareness, is climbing the Three Peaks Challenge dressed as orangutans over the course of three days. We have raised over £1,000 to help get us to Borneo so far and hope to raise much more. It was incredibly challenging to climb Ben Nevis, but we did it! We're so proud of ourselves for finishing. We each need to raise £5,000, which means we're aiming for £15,000 in total. On our Gofundme alone we have raised just over £1,000.While £1,000 is a fantastic start, we still have a lot more to go to hit our target.  Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to our goal and helps make a real difference.
