Christmas Concert

by Tamworth Ladies’ Choir

Following their very successful concert with the Morriston Male Choir at St Editha’s Church, the ladies are now preparing for their annual Christmas concert on 12th December at 14.30.

Unfortunately, the usual venue for choir concerts isn’t available, consequently this concert will be held at St Peter’s Church and Community Centre, Hawksworth, Tamworth, B77 2HH. This is off Silver Links Road.

This will be the choir’s inspirational and all-round good egg, Musical Director, Hilary Griffiths final concert as she is leaving the area and returning to her roots in the Isle of Man. So, the audience should come prepared with tissues as it will be a very sad but hopefully uplifting and fitting occasion for Hilary and the choir.

Once again the Earl Shilton Handbell Ringers will be the guests to provide a little Christmas magic.

A new Musical Director has yet to be appointed but whoever takes over will have some big shoes to fill to maintain and improve the exceptionally high standard of singing and originality which sets the choir apart from others.

Tickets for the concert are £10 are available from any choir member, or by using the “Contact Us” facility on the choir web site at www.tamworthladieschoir.com or pay at the door. As is tradition seasonal refreshments will be provided afterwards.
