Blue Cross in Rolleston is urgently calling out to pet lovers in the local area to help them to care for cats by providing a safe and cosy foster home, before they move on to their forever families. This follows a 9% increase in cat admissions last year across the whole charity.

Some cats need a more homely environment so they can receive round-the-clock attention or get used to the usual household sights and sounds to enable them to continue growing into happy and confident cats before they join their new family. Working with foster carers also frees up space at the centre to take in more cats in need of the charity’s support.
Michelle Bowie Foster Coordinator at the BlueCross in Rolleston said “I love being a foster coordinator to build relationships with my fosterers helping and supporting them through the fostering journey”.
Foster carers receive full training, support and guidance throughout the process. All costs including travel, are covered by Blue Cross.
