Join Jill in her energetic fundraising for Breast Cancer and have fun!

Austrey resident, Jill Hayward, 64, has recently started a series of epic fundraising physical challenges for Breast Cancer Now raising over £1,400. But things have not always been this way, after her doctor give her a low chance of surviving surgery, Jill decided to embark on a weight-loss journey.
She started eating healthily, joined her local gym and started line dancing. Over the last 18 months, she has lost nearly 9 stone, has reversed diabetes & cured her sleep apnoea. She has line danced the same distance a marathon and climbed over 150ft.
In July she will be abseiling off a bridge for Breast Cancer Research, and because of joy in movement and love of fitness, she is now teaching line dancing at several venues including Ashby & Whitwick Leisure Centres, Newton Regis, Polesworth Club and Dordon Club hub. She also works with care home residents doing seated dance sessions.
“I am living the life I never believed I could have” she said “ I want to be able to put all this energy I have now, into sharing just how much fun and happiness, feeling fit and movement can be! I am literally dancing for joy!”
