Middleton's 100th Fete!

This is a very special year as Middleton, near Tamworth, is proud to be holding its 100th Village Fete on Saturday, 11th July, on the Village Green and plans are underway to make it the best yet!

Middleton’s first Fete was held in August 1925, and with a break due to Covid, the 100th fete is upon us in 2026.  Back then it was fun for a gathering of villagers, raising funds for the church. Now it is still a fete but greatly enhanced, open to a wider audience  and all proceeds are now supporting local charities too.  

The fete is open 2-5pm and the Celebrity Bargain Hunting Antique Dealer, Charles Hanson, has agreed to open it for us.  So, why not come along and spend an enjoyable afternoon here? Everyone is welcome to join in the festivities. It is FREE admission and off-road car parking.

There’s plenty to see and do. All the usual fete stuff - bouncy castle; games; etc. plus there’s Archery; Pets Corner and a magnificent Horticultural marquee.   If you’re hungry or thirsty there’s a Bar; BBQ and refreshments.

There’s lots of competitive fun with Sports Events for children and grown-ups and not forgetting the Dog Show! There’ll be a Punch and Judy Show and the Jockey Morris Men adding to the long list of entertainment during the afternoon. All this to the live sound of the Amington Brass Band.
