TV: Suspicion (15th June on ITVX)

When the son of a prominent American businesswoman (Uma Thurman) is kidnapped from a New York hotel, the eye of suspicion quickly falls on four seemingly ordinary British citizens who were at the hotel on the night in question. As they find themselves in a trans-Atlantic cat and mouse race to evade the combined forces of the National Crime Agency and the FBI to prove their innocence, it becomes apparent that not everyone can be trusted. Who is really behind the mysterious abduction, and who is only guilty of being in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Film: F1 (dir. Joseph Kosinski, in cinemas from 25th June)

After years of development and rumoured budget blowouts, Brad Pitt's Formula 1 film finally races into theatres this June. The newly released trailer promises spectacle, even if the plot feels familiar. Pitt stars as a retired driver lured back for "one last shot" at glory, a well-worn racing trope. But where the film truly thrills is in its visuals: sleek cars, blistering speed, and the glamorous chaos of F1.

Titled simply ‘F1’, the movie may not rewrite the genre (think ‘Days of Thunder’ with a pricier engine), but it’s clearly banking on pure adrenaline. With Pitt leading the pack and director Joseph Kosinski (‘Top Gun: Maverick’) at the helm, audiences can expect two hours of gorgeous machines, roaring tracks, and Hollywood star power. Buckle up, it’s going to be a loud ride.

Music: Little Simz ‘Lotus’  (AWAL Available 6th June)

The seismic drum intro of "Flood" announces Little Simz's bold artistic evolution. Her razor-sharp delivery, a dynamic, husky snarl, glides effortlessly over the track's relentless rhythm, while Miles Clinton James' immersive production weaves together the distinctive voices of Obongjayar and Moonchild Sanelly. The result is a hypnotic, raw masterpiece that previews Lotus, her upcoming album symbolising rebirth and growth through life's complex journeys.

Complementing the track is Salomon Ligthelm's striking music video, offering the first glimpse into Lotus's visual universe.

A visionary force in UK music, Simz has cemented her status with Brit Awards, MOBOs, and an Ivor Novello across five acclaimed albums. More than just an artist, she chronicles her personal and generational transformation through music, solidifying her place as one of Britain's most compelling cultural voices.
