Music: Moisturizer, Wet Leg (out 11th July)
The Isle of Wight duo Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, better known as Wet Leg have just unleashed their raucous new single, ‘Catch These Fists’, further solidifying their reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting indie-punk acts. The track delivers their signature mix of deadpan wit and scuzzy, high-energy riffs, with Teasdale’s sardonic lyrics cutting through layers of distorted guitars. Following their viral 2022 debut, which catapulted them to fame, this latest release hints at a bolder, more experimental direction for the pair. If their self-titled debut album was a cheeky introduction, their upcoming sophomore effort, ‘Moisturizer’, promises to elevate Wet Leg’s status as one of the most thrilling guitar bands of the moment. With their infectious hooks and irreverent charm, they’re poised to dominate summer playlists. Consider this your warning! Wet Leg is back, and they’re louder, sharper, and more unapologetic than ever. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to their chaotic brilliance, ‘Catch These Fists’ is proof that the duo isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
