Film: Tron: Ares (in cinemas from 10th October)
The third instalment in the sci-fi franchise that launched in the 1980s introduces Ares (Jared Leto), an advanced artificial intelligence program sent on a critical mission. This film marks humanity’s first encounter with a fully autonomous A.I. being. True to the series' legacy, viewers can anticipate intense action sequences, explosive battles, and high-stakes peril, alongside deeper explorations of emotion, mortality, and what it truly means to be human.
The film is scored by industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails. Singer Trent Reznor (who has worked on many other film scores with his bandmate Atticus Ross) explained that producing the score under the Nine Inch Nails name influenced their approach to scoring Tron: Ares, putting them in a "grittier" mindset and allowing them to "play by different rules" producing a sound that lends itself perfectly into a new, more industrial Tron.

Music: Madison Cunningham - Ace (from 10th October)
This American singer, songwriter and guitarist’s music was described by Rolling Stone magazine as "a new spin on West Coast folk-rock, with classical tendencies, electric guitars, jazz-school chord changes and alt-rock strut all living under the same roof".
Cunningham’s third studio album ‘Ace’ features 14 tracks that explore intimate themes of love, betrayal, and heartbreak. Cunningham embraced creative risks, allowing emotion to lead the songwriting process. The record includes a collaboration with Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold on the song “Wake.” Pecknold praised Cunningham, noting, “She’s a force and an inspiration.”
Since winning a Grammy for Best Folk Album in 2022, Cunningham’s career has soared. She recently wrapped the Railroad Revival Tour with Mumford & Sons and has been hailed by Hozier as one of the “most talented creative forces of our generation.” Her work with indie stars like Lucy Dacus and Remi Wolf further highlights her influence and artistry.
