Music: Mayhem: Lady Gaga (available from 7th march)
‘Mayhem’ heralds a triumphant comeback to Lady Gaga’s pop origins. The album delves into themes of chaos and transformation, celebrating music’s ability to unite, challenge, and heal.
“This album began as a journey to confront my fear of revisiting the pop sound that my earliest fans fell in love with,” Gaga shared. Far from being a nostalgic rehash, ‘Mayhem’ reimagines her early style through a kaleidoscopic lens, blending influences from her vast musical repertoire while embracing a bold and innovative artistic vision. Gaga likens the creative process to “piecing together a shattered mirror: even if the fragments don’t fit perfectly, you can craft something uniquely beautiful and complete in its own way.”
