Tamworth Guide Dog volunteers are enjoying another successful fundraising year thanks to the support of local businesses and the generosity of the general public.
This year they currently have two events planned to help boost the funds going to the charity. The first is their Quiz night on Friday 13th June at Bolehall Swifts, Rene Road, Bolehall B77 3NW. Doors open at 7pm for 7.30. Cost is £3 per person with a maximum of 6 per team. There will be a cash prize for the winners and a separate raffle on the evening. The last Quiz night proved to be a very enjoyable and entertaining evening – don’t miss this chance to put your knowledge to the test.
If quizzing isn’t for you, then how about a Race Night at Kettlebrook WMC, Tame Street, Kettlebrook B771AH on Saturday 5th July where there will be the opportunity to place a bet on some on-screen fun races. Doors open at 7pm for 7.30. Entrance is £1. There will be bingo, a raffle and the opportunity to meet some of our amazing dogs.
The group aims to raise funds for this essential charity which supports people of all ages with sight loss and helps them to live the life they choose. Volunteers also undertake Meet and Greet sessions and offer talks about Guide Dogs to local organisations – contact them on the email below –
