Singing With Shifnal

Following the great success of their 35th Anniversary concert on 3rd August Tamworth Ladies’ Choir have their next performance organised. The choir are holding a concert at Polesworth Abbey on Saturday 11th October commencing at 19.30.

Their guests will be Shifnal and District Male Voice Choir with whom they have a long time relationship, having visited Shifnal on many occasions to sing with the men. It promises to be an evening of great variety as the men bring a different sound to contrast with the ladies beautiful tones.

The choir’s Musical Director, Hilary Griffiths, is working with the Shifnal choir’s Musical Director to identify songs which the choirs can sing in unison, with the fine acoustics of The Abbey that should be something special.

The choir are always looking for new members, if anyone is interested, rehearsals are on Monday evenings starting at 19.30 at St Peter’s Church and Community Centre, Hawksworth, off Silver Links Road, Tamworth, B77 2HH.
